This course will provide learners with an awareness of what alcohol and other drugs are, the health effects drugs and alcohol can cause, the psychology around why people use drugs and alcohol, the impact the use of drugs and alcohol can have on the workplace and how to create a safe workplace.Aim
To create a safe workplace culture by teaching employees what drugs are, and what effect they can have on their behaviour and on the workplace.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, you will:
- Understand what illegal, prescribed and illicit drugs are
- Know what happens to the body when drugs and alcohol are used
- Understand why people use alcohol and drugs
- Know how a healthy culture with regards to alcohol and drugs can be achieved.
